Flute and guitar music is considered one of the most well-balanced and a very pleasant ensemble combination. The programme offers a variety of North- and South-American Songs and Dances specifically composed for this instrument combination, from American Composer Robert Beaser\u2019s Mountain Songs to the Brazilian folk melodies by Celso Machado. Traveling South to Argentina, presenting the warm-hearted pinnacle of Astor Piazzolla\u2019s compositions Histoire du tango (History of the Tango). Aware of how much the tango had changed during his lifetime, Piazzolla composed Histoire du tango in 1985 to celebrate the dance in four different eras.
