The Quintet’s innovative arrangements and improvisation is a sonic journey that engages serious music listeners and general music enthusiasts. The Quintet is led by three-time SAMA award winner and drummer Peter Auret (Nataniël, Charl du Plessis trio, Ziza Muftic quartet) and features acclaimed violinists: Waldo Luc Alexander (William Kentridge, Sontonga Quartet, Johannesburg Festival Orchestra ) and Hana Yim-Wahl (Johannesburg Festival Orchestra, Phoenix Orchestra, the Muses) with violist Tiisetso Mashishi ( JPO, JPO Quartet, Mzansi Philharmonic) and Double Bassist Viwe Mkizwana (McCoy Mrubata, Paul Hanmer, Miagi Orchestra). In 2022, the Scullery Quintet was nominated for ‘Best Classical Performance’ at the US Toyota Woordfees.
